Recently learned of my old pals passing. Seems like high school was just yesterday. Never forget that night in California before I went to Viet Nam. How we laughed, cried and got high together. Over the years, as often happens, we physically drifted apart. Time and distance cannot erase the memories. My condolences to his loved ones. He was a hell of a good guy.

Larry was way cool. Spent time at the house in Hermosa Beach house after boot camp. Right on the strand Still have a Vaupels tshirt, home of Red Mountain..the surfers choice! $1.99 gal, no ID His dad was pretty crazy for the day.Lots of stories and memories that are pretty vague for some reason! The worlds longest and heaviest surfboard in the world...took 2 guys to get it to the water. Still have some Instamatic pics somewhere. Lost another good guy.
