On the radio 3 days out of high school.
18 years on the air in Tucson, Portland, San Francisco & Seattle.
Built and ran 3 recording studios in Seattle.
Pro sports stadium announcing and game production for Seahawks, Seattle Sounders, Supersonics, Mariners, Tacoma Stars and Baltimore Ravens.
Moved to Annapolis/DC/Baltimore in 1995.
I continue to read scripts out loud for profit from of my basement studio. "Not really work," says Jim Kingston. Over 200 documentaries for Discovery, NatGeo, Smithsonian, et al. Voice of the Washington Post, et al.
Began oil painting in 2002. Over 150 finished works; painting all the time. Spreading colorful grease is good for the soul.
My greatest good fortune is having met (1994) and married (1997) Caroline MacDonald--the star of this show.
5 Things I learned at Palo Verde:
1. PV baseball coach Jim Wing was and is one of a handful of the finest human beings I've ever been privileged to know.
2. Don't be in a car with Cathy Cooper when there's a post-game riot going on at Tucson High stadium.
3. Friendships made as far back as junior high school can't be described in words. Some would say I've known Rick Hibner, Vince SanAngelo, Paul Dull and Pat Anderson far too long. Lucky me.
4. Watch out for how much you love radio in high school. You might end up getting hooked on that career choice. And Frank Kalil might become your good buddy. Lucky me.
5. Warning! This whole 'Titan' thing might go to your head. Lucky us.

Bob starred on our '65PVHS baseball team, in the legendary Jim Wing's first year as head coach; we went all the way to the state semi-finals. What a team! The great Pete Titone at catcher;Danny Martin was the stud ace of our pitching staff; Rich Bartke at first,Dave Davenport and Monte Surratt at second, the fabulous Chjuck Sprinkle at short, and my old next door neighbor Pat Anderson at third (he later played third for the UofA). In the outfield with Bob Duckwiler were John Paul and the great, great athlete, Bob Repp,in centerfield. I was 'The Rookie' on that team, serving as #2 on the pitching staff, with a fastball that barely dented cardboard and a curveball that Pete Titone dubbed,'The Crinkle'. That year was the highlight of high school sports for me--much because of the laughs provided by Bob Duckweiler and the hilarious Mike Grossman, who would go on to be an All-Star the next year for PV.
RIP, Duck.

Greg Psaltis would know better than anybody--this man was a professional photographer even in high school.
Great eye. Great guy. Saw Shelby at the 50th, and he was the same fine spirit. RIP, sir.

Arnold Canales's smile is one of our class's enduring treasures. When we think of him, maybe the first word that comes to mind is, "Happy." Arnold always seemed filled with joy. The last time many of us saw him, at the 50th reunion's poolside party, he was the picture of the proud patriarch--surrounded by family members who knew he was wild about them. You could tell he made them as happy as he always made us. Thanks, Arnold.

Linda...Thanks so much for coming up and saying hi. As vision-challenged as I am, reading name tags was hopeless, so thanks for making that extra step. And if it's not too inappropriate, may I say you are just as beautiful as ever. Terry
